Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022: Everything Announced and Revealed

The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase was the boatload of game announcements we were hoping for. From an extensive analysis of Starfall, a long look at Forza Motorsport and extensive Redfall gameplay, we got everything we wanted. Nearly three dozen more games were also announced during Microsoft’s hour-long showcase, read on to catch up on all the announcements.

Highlights from the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase


Redfall finally makes its second appearance on the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. This time we have a gameplay trailer featuring Layla and her telekinetic abilities and spectral elevators. We also got a comprehensive overview of the island where the game will take place.

The trailer also outlined all of the characters’ abilities in Red Fall. Jacob has a deadeye-like ability from Red Dead Redemption 2, plus an invisibility cloak and a spectral crow that can fly at enemies. Remi de la Rosa is an engineer with a robotic companion equipped with a vampire-killing machine gun. Next, Devinder offers extensive knowledge of vampires and brings macgyvered equipment to ensnare enemies.

Hollow Knight Silksong

Hollow Knight Silksong was announced as a day one Xbox Game Pass release on the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. The trailer showcased more of the game’s frenetic combat and Metrovania-style exploration.

High in life

High on Life is the upcoming FPS game from the makers of Rick and Morty. From the trailer, it looks like we can expect a ton of jokes and weird guns, grenades, and other tools that talk to you too.

Riot Games

Microsoft has announced that Riot Games’ biggest titles are coming soon to Xbox Game Pass. We’re stocking up on a sizzle reel trailer of games coming to the service, including League of Legends, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Valorant, Legends of Runterra, and Teamfight Tactics.

A Plague Tale: Requiem

Today we also got a new, longer gameplay trailer for A Plague’s Tale: Requiem. From the trailer, it is clear that the story will take a dark turn as our protagonist, Amicia the Rune, becomes more vicious and aggressive in killing her enemies.

Forza Motorsport

The next Forza Motorsport finally has a gameplay trailer that showcases the new level of realistic graphics that the game will debut. The game has been confirmed to feature ray tracing and more realistic damage to cars as they rub against each other and the track. The trailer also revealed quite a few new cars, including a race-ready golf cart.

Microsoft Flight Simulator

Microsoft Flight Simulator is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the addition of a slew of new aircraft, including gliders and helicopters.

Additionally, Xbox announced that Halo-themed vehicles are coming to the game today and players will be able to fly the Pelican.

Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 was announced as an October 2022 release on the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. The new gameplay trailer also gave us a look at all the new looks for the characters. In addition, we met Overwatch’s newest character, the Junker Queen, a gladiator warrior from the badlands who uses a lever action rifle and a large axe. Overwatch 2 Early Access begins October 4, 2022.

Macaw History Untold

Ara History Untold, announced a few days earlier, is a turn-based, historically grand strategy game. It will be available on the first day on Windows PC with PC Game Pass, although no release date has been announced yet.

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle

The Elder Scrolls Online High Isle expansion will be released on June 21.

Fallout 76: The Pitt

The Pitt, a classic Fallout 3 location, is coming to Fallout 76 in September.

Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC

Forza Horizon 5 is getting Hot Wheels DLC. Like the Hot Wheels expansion of Forza Horizon 3 and Hot Wheels Unleashed, this expansion includes tracks with winding paths, vertical turns and loop-the-loops, plus a bunch of hot wheels toy cars. The Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC will be released in July.

Ark 2

Ark 2 has got another reveal trailer and it will be out next year in 2023. It was also confirmed that the release would hit Game Pass on day one.


We got a first look at Scorn’s extremely graphic and wet gameplay. Scorn was also announced for release on October 21, 2022 and it will be available on Day One on Game Pass.

Flintlock: The Siege of the Dawn

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a third-person action RPG that uses both rifles and melee weapons. It will be released in early 2023 and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from Day One.

Minecraft Legends

Minecraft Legends is a new action strategy game coming to Xbox and PC next year in 2023. Mojang’s latest project will be released on Game Pass Day One.

Lightyear Frontier

Lightyear Frontier is a new mecha exploration game that reminds us a bit of Journey to a Savage Planet. It will be released as Day One on Game Pass in Spring 2023.

Gunfire Reborn

Gunfire Reborn a shoot-em-up roguelike coming October 2022

The Last Case of Benedict Fox

The Last Case of Benedict Fox will be released in Spring 2023 and has been confirmed to be Day One on Xbox Game Pass.

When dusk falls

As Dusk Falls is INTERIOR/NIGHT’s first game. It features rotoscoped graphics and it will be an interactive drama that can be played with up to eight players. It will be released on July 19 and it will appear on Xbox Game Pass Day One.

Naraka Bladepoint

Naraka Bladepoint is coming to consoles for the first time with confirmed cross-play and a new campaign mode. Naraka Bladepoint will be released on Xbox on June 23, 2022.


Obsidian unveiled their next game Pentiment as a narrative crime story set in 16th century Bavaria. Pentiment follows Andreas Maler, a traveling artist who stops by an abbey to create an illuminated manuscript, but the story takes a turn when Andrea’s mentor is accused of murder. Now it’s your job to solve the case and apparently it could take up to 25 years and Andreas will keep getting caught up in incidents.


Grounded is finally leaving Early Access in September after originally being released in July 2020.

Ereban Shadow Legacy

Ereban Shadow Legacy will be released in 2023 and it’s confirmed Day One on Xbox Game Pass.

Diablo IV

Diablo IV showed the necromancer class when the last new class for the game was confirmed. We saw new gameplay played on a character class Xbox that resurrected dead allies and launched skulls. Diablo IV will be out next year with cross-play and cross-progression on PC, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and Switch.

Sea of ​​Thieves

Sea of ​​Thieves has announced that the Season 7 update is coming. The update will allow users to buy, name and captain their own ship. You can also further customize your cabin to your liking.


Ravenlok is a 2023 release coming to Game Pass on day one.


The studio behind Limbo has a new game called Cocoon and it is slated for release in 2023.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Hideo Kojima

Microsoft has announced that it is collaborating with Hideo Kojima on a new game. Without revealing anything, Kojima simply stated, “This is a game I’ve always wanted to make.”


Starfield finally has the gameplay reveal trailer we’ve been waiting for. The game seems to offer a much more grounded space exploration experience of exploring planets, shooting enemies, mining, scanning, and digital lock picking. We also have a story trailer for Starfield revealing that we will be hunting for alien artifacts that are changing the galaxy and that we will be dealing with factions in space.

We also took a look at the character creator, from traits to the skill system, customizable weapons, as well as a base and spaceship builder. And just in case you were worried about exploring the galaxy from a map menu, the starships are fully controllable and you’ll be doing dogfights with enemies in space too.

As for the scale, Starfield revealed it will take place in a cluster of more than 100 solar systems, one of which will contain nine fully explorable planets.

Starfield will be released on Xbox consoles and PC in 2023.
